PROCEDURE MEASURING FLOW RATE OF MULTIPHASE FLOW AND DETERMINING CONTENT OF HYDROCARBON MASS IN IT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to measure flow rate of products from oil wells going from field to oil preparation plant. Multiphase flow comprising oil, gas and water is mixed in heat-insulated mixer with definite amount of hot drainage water fed from oil preparation plant. Temperature of flow and temperature of hot drainage water are measured right across inlet to heat-insulated mixer and temperature of mixed flow is taken across outlet from mixer. Flow rate of hot drainage water is measured simultaneously in fixed time interval and representative sample is taken from flow to determine content of water phase in flow. On basis of obtained data flow rate of multiphase flow and content of mass of hydrocarbon phase ( oil ) it are determined by given formulas. EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy independent of variation of composition of flow, its temperature and viscosity characteristics. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
