FIELD: timber floating. SUBSTANCE: proposed breaking-down device has side pontoons, bridges and sinker with vertical displacement drive. Sinker is provided with two parallel frames of length 1+2d where 1 is horizontal size of square float unit, and d is diameter of its timber. Said frames are rigidly interconnected by board in upper plane provided with vertical axle engaging through slide-fit spline joint with round platform furnished with turning drive and installed in hole of horizontal member connecting said bridges. Accelerator is mounted on sinker frame, square to frame, being made in form of chains with common drive closed on sprockets. Longitudinal bridges are installed at sides of passage for float units. Longitudinal bridges are provided with cutouts made to radius with center located on axis of board vertical axle. EFFECT: mechanization of breaking-down process. 2 dwg
