FIELD: rafting of timber along small depth rivers. SUBSTANCE: flat raft has rows of timber arranged square to each other and interconnected by binders and vertical tie-bars. All rows, except for upper one, are placed in square frames of timber connected by flexible ties. Binders consist of upper and lower parts arranged square to corresponding rows of timber and rigidly secured on lower frame. Lower binders are arranged in lower plane of lower frame and their number, at even number of timber rows, is equal to number of vertical tie-bars closed on one upper binder, and at odd number of timber rows is equal to number of upper binders. Bracing members are installed and secured in diagonals of flat raft. Timber can be unloaded successively by rolling, row by row, with construction preserving its shape and transport capabilities. EFFECT: provision of required rigidity of construction, preservation of timber, possibility of making flat rafts both on the bank and on water. 4 dwg
