FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: polytetrafluoroethylene is prepared by initiator-assisted gas-phase photochemical polymerization, said initiator being tetrafluorodichloroacetone-trifluorotrichloroacetone mixture with boiling temperature within 40-90 C in amounts 5-15% of the weight of loaded tetrafluoroethylene. Invention allows production of fine heat-resistant polytetrafluoroethylene, whose use as component of rubber and viscous lubrications increases wear resistance of the latter and resistance against solvents, oils, and corrosive media.
