FIELD: toxicant storage safety. SUBSTANCE: indicator paint contains a basic dye phosphorotungstenate as chromogenic, vinyl chloride resin as binding agent, aromatic hydrocarbons or their mixture with alkyl acetate as solvent, pigments, fillers, and carbon black. Paint is developed for controlling tightness of chemical ammunition charged with sarin, soman, 10-alkyl-8-(dialkylaminoethyl)methylthiophosphonate and their analogs on long-term storage under conditions of non-heated storage areas and servicing. Paint is waterproofing, does not colored from greases and lube oils, and has reliable adhesion to metal and anticorrosive coatings of ammunition. These properties are stable for at least 4-5 years, which is advantageous because of difficult replacement of ammunition coating on mass storage.
