METHOD OF MINING OF POTASSIUM ORE DEPOSITS UNDER SLOPES OF RIVER VALLEYS (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mining; applicable in mining of potassium ore deposits occurring under ground surface characterizing by presence of slopes of river valleys. SUBSTANCE: method includes topographic survey of deposit region; singling-out of sections of river bank with relief incline above 2.5 deg; selection of direction of mining of potassium ore so that temporary and permanent boundaries of bed extraction, when found under singled-out sections, are subperpendicular to direction of river valley course. According to the second version, if boundaries of deposit mining prove to be under river bank section, with relief incline above 2.5 deg and their nonperpendicular position of line crossing the slope and bank line, and in case of manifestation of maximum stretching deformation of ground surface in form of fissures with their subsequent opening as a result of displacement of slat rock block down slope, stopped boundaries of mining operations are advanced from slope by continuation of mining and transfer in this way of fissure-formation zone to state of compression. EFFECT: prevent emergency situations on undermined ground surface characterized by presence of slopes of river valleys. 2 cl
