FIELD: method for joining polymeric tubes used at transportation of gases and liquids, including oil and chemical products being inside tube under high pressure. SUBSTANCE: laminate composite tube includes at least one reinforcing layer or layer with high strength in axial direction; at least one inner thermoplastic layer and at least one outer protective layer. Connector includes hollow tubular envelope designed for placing tube inside it and melting means arranged inside envelope. Method for making connector comprises steps of shortening at least outer protective layer of composite tube in such a way that to open circumferential surfaces of inner thermoplastic layer and reinforcing layer or layer with high strength in axial direction. Connector also includes mechanical clamping means axially spaced from melting means, designed for clamping reinforcing layer and placed inside envelope. EFFECT: enhanced strength and improved sealing of tube connector against fluids passing inside tubes and against environmental medium. 31 cl, 9 dwg
