FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: pipe joint comprises joint element, pipe and clamping ring. Pipe and clamping ring are made from material with memory effect. Pipe end and clamping ring are jointly reversibly expanded and tightly fitted on joint element 2 by means of reversible shrinkage. Clamping ring is made from cross-liked polyolefin by moulding. Enclosed is method of protecting joint element nipple end by clamping ring in transportation.
EFFECT: higher reliability of joint.
