SUBSTANCE: convertible and reversible machine incorporating flexible dynamic control system has magnetic excitation system made of radial annular saturated magnet with pole shoes in the form of concentrically mounted hollow cylinders forming annular clearance to receive overhung rotor on shaft. Novelty is that machine armature is mounted on outer side surface of rotor and is made in the form of stack assembled of insulating layer and two electricity conducting layers of which one, 0.1-0.5 mm thick, is made of metal with electrons distributed over d-levels and with crystalline structure of more than 99.9% purity; other conducting layer, 0.05-0.3 mm thick, is made of metal having crystalline structure with open Fermi surface of more than 99.99% purity. Current-conducting layers of armature stack contact slip-ring brushes. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, reduced armature resistance loss. 4 cl, 3 dwg
