FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in shut-off of inflow of formation waters to injection and producing wells in development of oil fields by water flood. SUBSTANCE: method includes successive injection into formation of emulsion composition based on hydrocarbons containing salt of polybasic acid and composition forming plugging material with salt of polybasic acid. Injected preliminarily into formation are precipitate-forming and/or gel-forming composition on water base. Injection of emulsion composition is conducted at pressure equal to or higher than pressure of injection of precipitate- or gel-forming composition. Precipitate-forming composition is used in form of composition based on salts of polybasic acids. Gel-forming composition is used in form of composition based on silicic acid or water-soluble polymers. Composition forming plugging material together with salt of polybasic acid is used in from of composition based on salts of alkaline-earth metals or acid solutions.
