FIELD: early detection of unstable operation of gas-turbine engine, stalling and surging of compressor in particular characterized by considerable low-frequency fluctuations of parameters of flow in flow section of gas-turbine. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement of brightness temperature "T" of radiation of surface structural members of gas-turbine engine, comparison of magnitude "T" with its threshold parameter Tthres. According to invention, magnitude of derivative of first order is additionally determined by time of brightness radiation temperature dT/dτ and is compared with threshold magnitude "A"; is case magnitude "T" and dT/dτ exceed those of Tthres and "A" respectively, signal indicating beginning of compressor stalling and surging is shaped. EFFECT: increased speed of response and reliability of diagnosis due to earlier determination of initial stage of stalling and surging of compressor on base of information of dynamic of change of parameters under test. 14 cl, 2 dwg
