VORTEX INJECTOR Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering, facilities feeding and atomizing fuel into combustion chamber, injectors of melting furnaces. SUBSTANCE: vortex injector has body located inside tube-air conduit to form together ring clearance, mixing chamber with inlet and outlet placed in body, gas pipeline and fuel-feeding tube communicating with mixing chamber. In correspondence with invention diffuser is in addition mounted in body between fuel-feeding tube and vortex generator. The latter communicates with gas pipe-line and comes in the form of ring with rectangular cutout which inner radius is traced along Archimedean spiral and is installed in body between diffuser and mixing chamber.
