FIELD: measurement technology, design of electric means measuring parameters of two-wire data transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: device incorporates units receiving and sending line signal connected to opposite sides of tested data transmission line. Receiving unit includes microcomputer, pulse generator, line receiver, matching resistor, pulse former and unit recording form of signal. Sending unit incorporates line transmitter and pulse former. Device also has first and second TV receivers, their outputs of frame synchronization being connected to synchronization inputs of units receiving and sending line signal. In operation device employs test signals presented by changes of voltage. In this case operation is carried out under unidirectional condition preventing effect of reflections.
