FIELD: medicine, pharmacognosy. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with standardization and quality control of multi-component plant species. Microscopic detection of components' content is conducted by using a stage for obtaining a homogeneous sample of species' powder mixture due to a 5-10-fold turning over of the analyzed sample in a reservoir at the ratio of sample weight/reservoir volume being 1:5-15, and participation index is calculated by relation of diagnostically valuable particles of a component to their combination in the species.
