FIELD: medicine, phthisiology. SUBSTANCE: patient's blood plasma is tested to detect the ratio of ceruloplasmin (Cp)/transferrin (Tf) and the presence of free-radical compounds (FRC) due to electronic paramagnetic resonance and at Cp/Tf value being 1.36 and lower and at the absence of FRC in the plasma a passive pulmonary tuberculosis is detected, at Cp/Tf value being above 1.36 and at the presence or absence of FRC, or at Cp/Tf value being 1.36 and lower and at the presence of FRC it is detected an active pulmonary tuberculosis. EFFECT: higher efficiency of detection. 3 ex, 2 tbl
