FIELD: integration of personal communication and cable television systems. SUBSTANCE: group of radio antennas is connected to cable system. Radio antennas provide for frequency conversion and power control of signal arriving from cable system for wireless transmission to distant communication devices. Radio antennas also ensure power control and frequency conversion of wireless signals coming from remote communication devices for their transmission by means of radio antennas to cable system. In addition to performing standard functions of base stations and centralized controller cable television network base station should also compensate for changes in cable system gain. Incident power is controlled by radio antenna reference signal that may be concealed in code- division multiple-access signal. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 12 dwg
