FIELD: lubricants. SUBSTANCE: additive is prepared by adding cuprous oxide to organic acid. Dissolution is performed by dispersing 0.4-20% cuprous oxide in organic acid at stirring with stirring criterion ReM = 10000-600000 and passing resulting suspension through hydrodynamic apparatus during 30-600 min at 50-160 C. When preparing dispersion, air or inert gas is introduced into dispersion. Thus prepared solution is mixed with mineral oil. Organic acid can be oleic or naphthenic acid or synthetic fatty acid fraction C6-C17. EFFECT: enlarged technical possibilities for preparing antifriction additives. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
