FIELD: devices for ultrasonic testing of lengthy pipe-lines. SUBSTANCE: device has a casing with an equipment installed in it for measurements, processing and storage of the data of measurements. The mentioned equipment incorporates series-connected trigger pulse generator, ultrasonic transducer, amplifier, comparator with an analog input, digital timer, processor and a digital data storage. The device also incorporates a controlled reference voltage source, whose output is connected to the comparator reference voltage input, the reference voltage source is made for setting at least two values of reference voltage at the output, and has the first control input for setting the first value of reference voltage at the output, and the second control input for setting the second value of reference voltage at the output, the first control input of the reference voltage source is connected to one of the outputs of the trigger pulse generator, or to the processor output, the second control input of the reference voltage source is connected to the comparator output.
