FIELD: electrical engineering, control over voltage in fast-response stabilizers of alternating voltage. SUBSTANCE: device for stepped adjustment of alternating voltage has input and output leads, first transformer with main winding connected to input lead of device and sectional step-down and/or step-up winding with taps connected to proper inputs of controllable switches of first group of commutators, controllable switches of second group which inputs are connected to proper taps of sectional winding of first transformer, adding divider which first and second inputs are connected via first and second keys correspondingly to outputs of controllable switches of first and second groups of commutators and second transformer which winding is placed between input and output leads of device and which other winding is connected to output of adding divider. Proposed device makes it feasible to enhance reliability of stepped adjustment of voltage thanks to exclusion of unfavorable after-effects of change-over of switches under load, makes it possible to use slower relays-switches or to use unit-regulator under higher frequency of adjusted alternating voltage.
