FIELD: furniture production. SUBSTANCE: bed has carcass composed of three axially aligned metal frames. Upper and lower frames are made immovable and supporting and are provided with rigidity ribs arranged in corner portions of adjacent frame sides, which are joined one to another through vertical supporting poles. Rigidity ribs serve supports for third frame, which is equipped with springy members and pivotally secured for movement in plane of carcass upper frame by means of transformation mechanism immovably fixed between two vertical poles symmetrically arranged on opposite sides of carcass. Transformation mechanism is composed of two axially aligned mechanisms, each including four levers pivotally and movably connected one with another. One of levers is rigidly joined to movable frame and other opposite lever is rigidly secured to two vertical poles connecting upper and lower frames of carcass. Vertical pole proximate carcass edge is spaced from carcass edge by distance not exceeding length of carcass. Third movable frame is made in the form of section having width within the range of 60-90 cm and may be composed of n sections.
