LIFTING BED Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: production of sectioned furniture, in particular, of beds in combination with cases. SUBSTANCE: lifting bed has sectioned furniture parts such as side panels, roof and front face members, mattress carcass with enclosure devices, bed conversion mechanism and supporting legs. Bed conversion mechanism is formed as carcass rotating unit with counterweight. Bed is further provided with L-shaped rear back movable along vertical guides positioned on side panels. Mattress carcass has rigid frame with sheet positioned under mattress and rigid supporting frame. Mattress frame is made in the from of flat rectangular construction with longitudinal and transverse members. Carcass rotating unit is disposed in mattress frame at distance equal to 0.2-0.3 of length of mattress frame at side adjacent to place where counterweight is fixed and has axle shaft with bearings. Supporting members of attachment unit for rear back rotating mechanism are positioned adjacent to head part of mattress frame. Supporting frame is formed as three-dimensional construction composed of two square transverse frames equipped with mattress frame bearing attachment receptacles and joined members defining rigid three-dimensional construction.
