FIELD: medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a stable pharmaceutical composition designated for oral administration. The composition comprises amlodipine benzylate in amount from 3.0 to 20 mg and atenolol in amount from 25.0 to 125 mg in combination with pharmaceutically compatible excipients. Diluting agents are taken among a group comprising directly pressable lactose, anhydrous lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, gelatinized starch, calcium dihydrogen phosphate or its modified form. Raising agents are taken among a group comprising starch, modified starch, croscarmelose sodium. Binding agents are taken among a group comprising starch, polyvinylpyrrolidone and cellulose derivatives. Agents providing slipping property are taken among a group comprising magnesium stearate, talc and colloidal silicon dioxide. Invention describes also 5 variants of a method of preparing a pharmaceutical composition. The composition shows good physical and chemical stability because of thoroughly selected pharmaceutical excipients that are compatible with two active medicinal components simultaneously.
