FIELD: construction industry, erection of building frames and structures, of rigid cross-pieces of electrified railways. SUBSTANCE: method of installation of prestressed strutted frame includes assembly of columns with foundations and prestressed cross-bars of strutted type. Supports with fork-shaped tips are attached to thrust beam of cross-bar and fork- shaped rests are mounted on ends of thrust beam. Then thrust beam of crossbar is secured with hoisting slings in its center part and intermediate lift is implemented. Washers pressed on to joining beams are brought behind fork-shaped rests and cross-bar is lowered. Butt shoes are mounted and end stoppers of joining beam are attached to them. After it cross-bar is re- slung and installed on columns with alignment of skew surfaces of butt shoes of cross-bar and tops of columns. Tangent of angle of tilt of skew surfaces of butt shoes and tops of columns when they are aligned is equal to ratio of horizontal and vertical clearances between cross-bar and columns.
