FIELD: mining; applicable in mines hazardous for rock bursts resulting in damage to mine support. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic prop includes cylinder, hollow rod with windows in walls and head, damper located between head and rod upper end, wave guide with spring located in cavity of prop for axial motion of wave guide relative to rod, conical valve with spring, piston on rod lower end for accommodation of said conical valve with spring and channel to pass fluid. Upper end of wave guide is pressed to rod head and its lower end is installed with axial gap relative to conical valve. Piston cavity is separated by conical valve into high-pressure chamber communicated by means of piston channels with cylinder cavity, and low-pressure chamber is communicated by other piston channels through rod cavity and windows in its wall with atmosphere. EFFECT: reliable sealing of prop cavity by conical valve under its static load, higher efficiency in transmission of energy of rock burst to wave guide and conical valve for its opening to drain fluid from prop in rock burst due to tight contact of conical valve to piston seat and wave guide upper end to rod head. 2 dwg
