FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing rotavation of upper contaminated soil layer to depth of up to 10 cm; digging ditch; moving upper soil layer and placing it onto ditch bottom; covering layer with lower soil layer; moving portion of upper rotavated soil layer aside to open narrow soil strip; providing layer-by-layer cutting of soil horizons to form narrow ditch with vertical walls; lifting said horizon layers above opened soil strip without mixing said horizons; providing forced conveyance of soil mass contaminated with industrial wastes and containing plant remains onto ditch bottom; placing soil to initial position into ditch without mixing soil; compacting filled ditch soil. Apparatus for disposal of upper soil layer contaminated with industrial wastes has carrier wheels, frame, bodies and guides successively fixed on frame. Guides are arranged at an angle one with respect to another. Shares are attached to guide lower edges. Rear ends of shares are arranged in spaced relation with respect to one another. Apex of angle rearward of guides is positioned behind pair of tines. Left-handed and right-handed tines are arranged in symmetry. Each of tines has tiered knives. One of tines is equipped with lifter mounted on lower tier knife and adapted for lifting cut layers. Moldboard disposed forward of tines is adapted for moving upper contaminated soil layer laterally thereof. Drive augers are mounted in guides for conveyance of contaminated soil layer. Cantilevers for augers on frame are mounted forward of supporting roller. EFFECT: increased efficiency in recultivating agricultural areas around industrial enterprises. 3 cl, 11 dwg, 1 tbl
