FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves rolling soil in strip; harvesting lacrice; at postharvest period, cutting large lumps of soil and soil aggregates on soil strip surface and on ditch ridges into agronomically valuable fractions; sweeping soil from ridges to ditch center; imparting grooved shape during rolling of soil strip, with water distributing slit extending axially of soil strip. Apparatus has frame and roller. Disk section and pair of opposite left-hand and right-hand moldboards are mounted in succession in front of roller. Roller is made in the form of two truncated cones joined with their large bases. Roller is equipped with disk slitter positioned in plane common to cone bases junction plane. Method and apparatus allow extraction of lacrice raw material in natural undergrowth to be performed, with biological potential and ecotype being kept. EFFECT: reduced time for restoring licorice population, improved quality of soil by eliminated water, wind and solar erosion. 4 cl, 6 dwg
