FIELD: transport engineering; steering linkages. SUBSTANCE: radial-thrust bearing are installed in cast body of bracket. Shaft 3 is made of steel and is installed on bearings in body. Swinging lever is made by hot forging and is installed of shaft. free space between bearings, inner surface of body and surface of shaft is filled with lubricant. One washer is fitted on end face of bearing inner race from side of lever. Other washer is installed relative to end face of outer race of other bearing. Nuts are tightened on opposite sides of shaft. Then nut at side opposite to lever is covered by rubber cap. Lever is subjected to tests for static strength of stand applying to end of lever a force of 8.633 kN relative to shaft axis with tolerable sagging of lever not exceeding 2 mm. Stand tests are carried out to reveal cyclic durability by applying to threaded joints a torque of 39.2 Nm and building pulsating stresses from 0.39 to 6.9 kN on lever. 3% of total number of manufactured articles are subjected to testing.
