FIELD: power conversion equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to controllable devices for transformation of alternating current to direct current and is designed to supply high-power consumers on electric transport, in chemical and metallurgical industries, specifically, to supply power to electrolyzers. Multiphase controllable rectifier includes power transformer which secondary windings are connected to A C leads of key rectifying unit built on uncontrolled rectifiers. Working winding of saturable reactor is connected in series with each rectifier, magnetization windings of saturable reactors are connected in series and are connected via inductive reactance to controlled source of current. In accordance with invention multiphase controllable rectifier is fitted with additional rectification unit and each saturable reactor is equipped with additional winding. Additional windings of saturable reactors of each phase of key rectifying unit are connected in parallel opposition and connected to A C leads of additional rectification unit and its D C leads are connected in parallel to output of key rectifying unit. Additional windings of saturable reactors are star- or delta-connected. EFFECT: reduced consumption of reactive power, reduced power of adjustable source of current, that is, reduced mass and dimensions of control system and enhanced speed of its response. 3 dwg
