FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to electrical engineering, in particular, to asynchronous generators with capacitor excitation and may be used in manual arc-welding machines. An asynchronous welding generator has two three-phase windings at the stator: an excitation winding having terminals for connection to excitation capacitors and an operating winding, which beginnings are complete with terminals for the connection of a rectifier, to which output a welding electrode is connected. Phase ends of the operating winding are complete with terminals for the connection of compound capacitors. The compound capacitors and the first three-phase rectifier are connected to terminals of the operating winding in series, ant to the output of the above rectifier a smoothing choke and the welding electrode are connected. A compound adjustable choke and the second three-phase rectifier are connected also to the terminals branched from the less number of turns in the operating winding, and the output of the above rectifier is connected in parallel to the output of the first rectifier.

EFFECT: reduced weight of the operating winding, decreased current and electric loss in the operating winding at process short-circuiting and welding.
