FIELD: metallurgy; production of carbon ferrocheme from chromite concentrate and iron from iron- containing materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes loading charge containing oxides of metals and reductant in melting unit and delivery of energy to surface of energy flux over circle. Charge is fed continuously and is heated by radiation. Molten slag and molten metal are molten and removed continuously. Energy is delivered by at least two fluxes. Relative motion of energy flux over circle is effected due to rotation of melt. Charge is fed to crater formed by rotating melt.
