FIELD: oil industry. SUBSTANCE: gear makes it feasible to determine thermal properties of pools in rocks with thickness less than 5.0 cm with depth interval up to 10.0 m and more in cased and uncaused wells on metrological basis. Gear includes three heaters with heat-insulated butts which makes it possible to focus heat flows and to measure thermal properties of rocks by means of electrodes having height of several centimeters made of rings of known thermal conductivity and thermally insulated one from another. Temperature-sensitive elements are positioned on their cylindrical surfaces. Gear allows measurement depth up to 0.7 m and time of depth interval of 10.0 h to be achieved. Invention can be employed to isolate and examine productive oil and gas bearing horizons, to correlate sections of wells, to determine elements of bedding, to isolate zones of annular circulation. EFFECT: increased measurement interval, raised accuracy and resolving power of gear. 5 cl, 8 dwg, 4 tbl
