SUBSTANCE: device has rectifying and smoothing unit 12 for converting ac supply voltage into dc voltage; transformer 1 connected to output lead of unit 12 for raising its dc voltage to level proportional to its turns ratio; plurality of field-effect transistors each connected to unit 12 and to ground lead for dc voltage switching; and deenergizing unit 17 connected to gate lead of field-effect transistor Q11 and to rectified-voltage output lead at transformer 1 to eliminate voltage ripples in primary and secondary windings of transformer 1 by means of optocoupler upon arrival of display input power control signal to meet respective standards of United States and Europe. Proposed design of device enables dispensing with additional service power for controlling input power of display. EFFECT: reduced power requirement and cost of device. 11 cl, 3 dwg
