FIELD: bicycles. SUBSTANCE: invention related to automatic change of gears depending on speed of bicycle. Speeds are shifted up by means of control unit at increase of bicycle speed (first gear T3). Simultaneously overdrive is set. At this mode, if bicycle speed decreases, control unit engages third gear T1 at which speeds are shifted down and their values are lower than that of second gear T2. Second gear T2 provides changing speed down in case of decrease of bicycle speed if overdrive mode is not set. Simultaneously underdrive is set. At this mode, if bicycle speed increases, control unit will engage fourth gear T4 at which speeds are shifted up. Speeds with fourth gear shifted in are higher than those at first gear T3. Overdrive and underdrive are set at shifting to provide speed changing at third gear T1 or fourth gear T4 to values differing from first gear T3 or second gear T2 to accelerate process of gear shifting.
