FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: cable adjuster 12 is located between control mechanism 16 and brake mechanism and is designed to change effective length or tension of control cable 14. Cable adjuster 12 in bicycle is connected with bicycle control mechanism 16 and gear-change mechanism to control brake mechanism or gear change mechanism. Control mechanism 16 is provided with base 30 and brake lever 32 connected with base. In preferable design version cable adjuster 12 is connected to base 30. Cable guide 50 with channel provided with inner thread is made integral with base 30. Adjusting member 40 is turned into channel of guide 50. Outer sheathing 14a of control cable 14 is fitted into adjusting member 40. spring position lock 42 is installed between adjusting member 40 and cable guide 50 to limit their rotation.
