FIELD: aeronautical engineering; flying vehicle fuel systems; flame traps in fuel tank drainage systems; pipe lines of oil industry. SUBSTANCE: flame trap includes fuel tank, inlet pipe line with flame barrier mounted at its end. Flame barrier is provided with hood with sump secured in its lower portion; this sump is used for transfer of fuel to tank. Tank is connected with fuel supply pipe line and with drainage branch pipe whose upper end is located in air space of hood and other end is located in above-fuel space tank. End of inlet pipe line is immersed in fuel contained in sump, thus forming hydraulic seal excluding penetration of flame into fuel tank in case of ignition of fuel-and-air mixture. EFFECT: enhanced fire safety; enhanced operational reliability of fuel systems; avoidance of freezing of drainage pipe lines. 2 dwg
