FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system comprises neutral gas feed line including onboard neutral gas generator and gas distribution subsystem. Also the system comprises a line communicating fuel tanks with outside air feed gadgets. Proposed method consists in simultaneous feed of outside air and produced neutral gas into fuel tanks in flight conditions consuming less amount of neutral gas than is actually required. Note here that oxygen concentration in above-fuel space does not exceed tolerances.
EFFECT: simplified design, reduced weight and volume, higher reliability.
