FIELD: electrical engineering; reducing time required to ideally synchronize synchronous machine and throw it on line. SUBSTANCE: method involves following procedures: machine connected to supply mains is excited at it approaches subsynchronous frequency; then continuous variation of voltage exciting synchronous machine is set so that with such variation it can cross supply frequency; after this transfer phase coincidence is predicted and at this moment excited synchronous machine is thrown on line.
