FIELD: medicine, clinical neurophysiology, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to conduct patient's ophthalmological studying including correction-bearing and correction-free visometry, refractometry in cycloplegia state, ophthalmoscopy and biomicroscopy. At revealing monolateral amblyopia of average and high degree at 12.0 visual acuity of the second eye the organic alterations of visual afferentation process are detected in amblyopic eye hemisphere and functional alterations or no alterations in another hemisphere. The method enables to increase the accuracy of diagnostics, determine the character of alterations and their localization in the system of visual afferentation process in children with monolateral amblyopia.
