FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording background electroencephalogram to determine electroencephalogram indices and their quantitative values to be taken into account when administering electrostimulation. Electroencephalogram values are determined that are considered as contraindication to electrostimulation because of probability of epileptiform activity is high in this case. The values of indices are determined when electrostimulation is considered to be possible under obligatory electroencephalographic control examinations carried out after every four-five electrostimulation treatments. It is explained by high probability of electroencephalogram values change during the electrostimulation process to values being considered as contraindication to applying electrostimulation in patients having these values. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in detecting patients belonging to epilitiform activity risk group before beginning treatment course; accuracy of the method is 98%.
