FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing lenses in two stages. First, donor cornea is laid with the epithelium turned downward on the concave working surface of modeling substrate base and donor cornea endothelial part is cut off at the level of predefined biolens thickness. Then the donor cornea is placed with its epithelium turned upward on the convex working surface of removable disk of the modeling substrate which curvature radius corresponds the curvature radius of the lens to be produced. The biolens is cut off with fixing wing at the level of modeling substrate base. The device has body, modeling substrate, fixing ring, coupling nut. The modeling substrate has base having concave working surface which curvature radius is calculated from a formula. The modeling substrate also has flat peripheral belt and detachable disk having convex working surface which curvature radius corresponds to calculated curvature radius of the biolens under production. Diameter S of the modeling substrate is greater than concave base surface diameter by its flat peripheral belt double width. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in producing lenses of high refraction force with fixing wing; enhanced effectiveness of keratoplasty operation. 4 cl
