FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: free-radical oxidation occurring in living organisms that is responsible for development of pathological states is inhibited by antioxidants that convert radicals to low-active compounds, break chain reactions and exclude or diminish the negative effect of prooxidants on physiological processes. This problem can be solved by using ophthalmic drops containing the complex comprising of 9 antioxidant preparations: unithiol, zinc sulfate, ascorbic acid, vitamin E in 20% albumin solution, uric acid, allopurinol, dimethylsulfoxide, 96° ethyl alcohol and sodium selenite. The use of ophthalmic drops in treatment of different stages of endothelial-epithelial dystrophy ensures to recover epithelium defect more effectively and rapidly, to arrest symptoms of cornea syndrome (pain, photophobia, lacrymation) and to enhance vision sharpness. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of ophthalmic drops, valuable medicinal properties. 1 cl, 2 tbl, 2 ex
