MILLING CUTTER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2191096 C2

FIELD: machine engineering, wood working, apparatuses for working parts by milling. SUBSTANCE: milling cutter includes body with rotation axis, separate changeable cutters with several lengthwise grooves on lateral surface of each cutter. Said grooves form cutting edges of cutter; one of said grooves is arranged on peripheral surface of milling cutter. It is possible to mount cutters with different profiles of cutting edges in body of the same milling cutter. Each cutter is in the form of body of revolution; cutting edges of cutter are formed by crossing of lateral surface of said body of revolution with lateral surface of said groove. Peripheral cutting edge of cutter is placed in plane or behind plane passing through lengthwise axis of cutter and arranged normally relative to cutting plane. EFFECT: improved design providing enlarged manufacturing possibilities of milling cutter. 6 dwg
