FIELD: electroplating, namely electrochemical deposition of zinc, possibly in different branches of industry for applying corrosion resistant coatings onto parts. SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of adding into electrolyte for zinc plating containing zinc sulfate, boric acid and water, fixative agent at next relation of ingredients (g/l): zinc sulfate - (200-250); boric acid - (25- 30); fixative - (1-20) at pH 3-5; performing electrodeposition at temperature (18-25)C, density of cathode electric current (2 - 10)A/sq. dm and electric current yield - (83-97)%. EFFECT: simplified stable content of electrolyte allowing to apply bright coatings in wider range of electric current densities without preliminary treatment. 1 tbl
