FIELD: electroplating, namely electrochemical deposition of cadmium, possibly in different branches of industry for coating parts in order to protect them against corrosion.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of electrical deposition from electrolyte containing, g/l: cadmium sulfate, 40 - 60; sulfurous acid, 20 - 40; sodium sulfate, 40 - 60; gloss-forming additive 3 -4 with structural formula . Electrical deposition is performed at temperature of electrolyte 15 - 30°C, density of cathode electric current 9 - 12 A/dm2 and at electric current yield 85 -98%.
EFFECT: possibility for applying coatings with smooth surface at high electric current density values.
