CUTOFF VALVE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in cutting off pipings in course of replacement of insert sucker-rod pump in well repair without well killing. SUBSTANCE: cutoff valve is located in housing and has locking member including seat and ball engageable with pump pusher and is movable along bushing. Ball has axial hole with two planes parallel to hole. Installed in them are pins located on the same axis perpendicular to hole axis and radially displaced relative to ball axis. Ball with its planes is located in recess of bushing having two shaped recesses. Rach recess is made in the form of two stages displaced relative to each other through valve equalling displacement of pin axis relative to ball hole axis. Ball is capable of rotating round axis of pins and contacting with movable seat which has a spring and latch. EFFECT: increased operating reliability of valve during replacement of pump by provision of direct flow of liquid from well to pipe and vice versa, and reduced resistance to flow. 2 dwg
