FIELD: gyroscopic instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: procedure estimating angular discrepancy of complex preparing and evaluating initial setting of inertial navigation system consists in generation of telemetry from inertial navigation system under condition of its autonomous operation, external trajectory measurements and their processing. Inertial navigation system is first calibrated , telemetry from inertial navigation system is generated in process of initial setting by vector matching in mix of preparation complex. Obtained telemetry is processed and angular discrepancies of preparation complex are computed. Then inertial navigation system is transferred to condition of autonomous operation on mobile base. Rectilinear motion of base with constant speed is carried out in process of autonomous operation of inertial navigation system.
