DEVICE FOR EXERTING THERAPEUTIC INFLUENCE UPON A BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE POINT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2191565 C2

FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has power supply source, stimulation unit having halogen lamp heat radiator, reflector and phocon radiation guide which current-conducting lateral surface serves as active electrode, passive electrode, switch board and pulse-creating oscillator unit. The device additionally has oscillator unit for creating negative impulses and unit for shaping positive impulses connected to each other in series. The units issue impulses for operating in biologically active point search- and diagnostic mode. Comparison circuit is connected to the positive electrode through operation current amplifier. The circuit has two comparator units connected to search- and diagnostic mode indication circuits. One of the comparator units has voltage control unit setting threshold voltage to be compared to a voltage being in proportional relation to biologically active point resistance in search mode and the other one has negative exit voltage and is provided with corresponding voltage control unit setting reference voltage for negative impulses from the operation current amplifier to be compared to voltage being in proportional relation to biologically active point resistance in diagnostic mode. Negative voltage at this comparator unit output being found to be by more than 20% greater than predefined reference voltage at its non-inverted input, causes diagnostic mode indication circuit response that is to be interpreted as patient health state needs treatment to be done. EFFECT: wide range of functional applications; enhanced effectiveness of combined neutron and neutron-capturing therapy. 3 cl, 3 dwg
