METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF WOOD-MINERAL BOARDS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering; manufacture of wood-mineral boards. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacture of wood-mineral boards from mineral binder - cement, wood filler and additives includes mixing of components, forming the mat and molding followed by holding in drying chambers and subsequent cooling. Used as wood filler are chips, coarse saw-dust and fractured particles at moisture content of 50 to 60%; water glass is used as additive. Mixing of components is effected in the following sequence: rated amount of cement is added to wood filler and is mixed for 1.5 to 2 min to homogeneous state, then ? part of water is added for smooth humidification of mixture and mixture is stirred again for 1 min, after which water glass is fed and 1/4 of water and mixture is stirred again for 1.5 to 2 min. Mat is formed by filling the molds with mixture fed from bin-distributor followed by leveling the mixture in molds. Molding procedure is performed in molds at temperature of 15 to 20 C which are placed in cassettes for 3 to 5 min. Drying is effected in drying chambers at temperature of 40 to 50 C continued for 12 to 24 hours in dry flow of air; then boards are removed from molds and are cooled down under natural conditions. EFFECT: facilitated procedure of manufacture ; reduced duration of production cycle; reduced power requirements. 2 tbl
