ALUMINIUM CELL WITH FIRED ANODES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2191852 C1

FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely production of aluminium by electrolysis in cryolite-alumina melts. SUBSTANCE: each of two end shelters is provided with three detachable flaps and it is made in the form of three-dimensional framework with integrated supporting structures. Upper portion of each framework is rigidly secured to beam-collector; lower portion of each framework rests upon end walls of cathode casing. EFFECT: lowered quantity of harmful exhausts to atmosphere of electrolysis housing, simplified design of cell according to system "supporting structures - end shelters", improved maintenance condition in zone of end portions of cell. 5 dwg
