FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; aluminum production by electrolysis.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cover has removable flaps on longitudinal ends of electrolyzer supported by bottom stiffening ring of manifold beam and removable flaps on butt-ends. Extreme flaps on butt-ends have additional sheet tilted through 90 deg. to flap that functions as covering member for longitudinal side of electrolyzer. Width of additional sheet is 0.1 to 0.5 of that of longitudinal-side flap.
EFFECT: reduced emission of pollutants into working space of electrolyzer casing; facilitated maintenance of electrolyzer shaft corners.
